The Museum is Closed December 19 – Jan. 2, 2012.

December 4, 2011 –   Annual Christmas Open House

                                    Quilting Traditions;  Piecing Together History

                                    Decorating done by the KDH Garden Club

                                    Noon – 4 pm

                                    Open to the public FREE of charge!

                                    Music by Gary Sargent

The rooms of the museum will be filled with quilts, several from the museums own collection; others generously loaned by the Clinton County Historical Association and friends of the Kent-Delord House Museum.  More than just bed coverings, quilts are works of art that often expressed a social significance of a time period and some even documented a family’s history.

This is a must-see exhibit!

December 11, 2011 – Secret Holiday House Tour

                                    1 – 4 pm

                                    Tickets  $15 (prepaid)

                                    View five (5) beautifully decorated houses, one of which will offer refreshments.

Five friends of the Kent-Delord House have generously offered to open their homes as a fund- raiser for the museum and allow visitors to see their holiday décor.  Call Pat (561-6571) or Scarlett (643-6678) for ticket information.  Last day to purchase tickets is Dec. 9.  No tickets sold on the day of the tour.

 

Dec. 5-16, 2011 - Holiday Education Program

                             Call Pat (561-6571) to schedule a classroom visit or for information.

                             This is a great opportunity for students to “see” their local history!

Announcements

  • Kent-Delord House Museum Cookbooks are available for $10, members pay $9.  It is primarily a cookie cookbook with illustrations and space to add additional recipes.  There are also Delord Family Recipes at the end of the book. Call the museum at (518) 561-1035, for more information.
