The Dining
Room

The dining room. On the table are examples of Canton china that
would have been used by the Delords, and Royal Crown Derby china that
would have been used 50 years later by Frank and Fanny Hall.
Henry and Betsey Delord were at the top of society in Plattsburgh in
the early 1800s, owning one of the best houses in a village that
boasted about 75 homes. They entertained frequently.
President James Monroe took tea with the Delord family when he visited
Plattsburgh during his national tour in 1817.
