Volunteers are crucial to the success of The Kent-Delord House Museum. Through the efforts of our extraordinary volunteers, the Kent-Delord House Museum is able to provide quality tours, programs and events that benefit thousands of visitors each year.

Moran as volunteer

We have numerous opportunities to give back to the Museum. If you are interested in volunteering at our events, call us at (518) 561-1035 or email us at kdhmdirector@gmail.com.

We also offer opportunities for volunteers to guide tours through the Museum. These volunteers are called docents and if you are interested in becoming a docent please call us at (518) 561-1035 or email us at E-mail: kdhmdirector@gmail.com.

Docent Training Scheduled for 2015

The 2015 museum tour season opens on Friday, May 1st this year and will continue until probably the end of September.   Docents (guide, guard, entertainer, teacher) offer 45 minute to one hour “Show and Tell” sessions inside the House 4 days a week, except for July and August when we are open Saturdays as well.

All current docents and anyone interested in learning and sharing our House history is encouraged to come for training at the museum on Tuesday April 28, 2015 from 10 AM until noon.  Everything you need to become a successful docent will be provided, including  your own guide book as well as a tour including all the new displays by the Museum Director himself, Don Wickman.  No pre-registration is required.   v

Thank you, volunteers!  You make this Museum possible!
